Gowrings Continental BV was founded in 1973 by the late mr J.A. Steenman.
The only shareholder at the time was Gowrings Ltd from Reading UK.
From 1989 onwards his sons, Joop and Albert Steenman took over the company and developed it in what it is today.

Gowrings Continental BV has a long term relationship with the industrial gas turbine divisions of Rolls-Royce plc in Ansty, Rolls Wood Group (Repair & Overhauls) Limited in Aberdeen, Siemens Industrial Turbo Machinery Ltd  in Lincoln and Centrax Gas Turbines in Newton Abbot for the supply and overhaul of gas generator sets in the range of 2,5 MW to 60 MW and spareparts for onshore and offshore applications.

For the repair and overhaul of major components and engines Gowrings has repair and overhaul facilities in Maasdam and Strijen.Gowrings has a long experience in overhauling the Siemens TB, SGT200 and SGT100 engines in their own workshop where they also employ several gas turbine engineers with a great gas turbine multidiscipline expertise.
